The Schools

(1) The Government (State of Punjab) Middle School, Braich.

(2) Pupils, headteacher (back far right) and staff of the Middle School which takes pupils aged 10 - 14 years. The school-leaving age is ten years. Many children enter employment after that age.

(3) Headteacher (first on left) and staff, (with Karam) of the Dasmesh Khalsa High School, Haran, (700 pupils aged 14-18).

(8) David with Granthe Karam Singh of Jullundar, in the Chaura Bazaar. Karam was granthe at the Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) in Swansea for a time.
