Castellmarch - My cousin and her husband's farm at Abersoch, on the Lleyn Peninsula, in North Wales.

CASTELLMARCH, a traditional family-run beef and sheep farm, lies one mile from the yachting village of Abersoch, and only five minutes' walk from the nearest sandy beach. It is also within close proximity of golf courses, horse riding, sailing etc.

Castellmarch, once the home of Sir William Jones, M.P. for Beaumaris and Caernarfon, and Chief Justice of Ireland, is a listed 16th century farmhouse, and is well-known locally as the home of the fabled 'March ap Meirchion', a prince with horse's ears. Guests are welcome to browse around to see the day-to-day running of the farm. For your convenience a payphone and launderette is situated on the farm caravan site, and is available for your use. Duvets and bed linen are provided in all three accommodations. Electricity is by 50p and £1 meters.

Blackthorn Farm

Blackthorn Farm - My cousin Gwilym's farmhouse near Trearddur Bay, Holy Island, Anglesey. Accommodation, Camping and Caravanning facilities.

Gwilym & Gail - Blackthorn Farm

Blackthorn Farm is situated in an idyllic spot on Holy Island. It has panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and is situated close to the famous South Stack lighthouse. The farm has 25 acres of land in which there are ample facilities for camping & touring caravans. There are toilets and shower facilities with electric hook-up for caravans . Blackthorn Farm is an ideal place for the outdoor pursuits enthusiast. These include Hiking, Fishing, Bird Watching, Climbing, Sailing, Canoeing and many others. If you do not fancy these activities, why not take a day trip to Ireland aboard the HSS ferry, visit some of the local attractions and historic sites, or just relax on one of the local beaches? The farm is within a two mile radius of rail and ferry services at Holyhead.
